POTABLE WATER CORROSION INHIBITOR

COOLCLEAR S is an active silica product that effectively reduces corrosion normally associated with water systems. The introduction of COOLCLEAR S to a water supply results in the formation of a barrier type protective film on the internal metal surfaces handling such treated water. COOLCLEAR S is a non-toxic product. It will not impart any colour, taste, or odour to the water being treated. The product has been approved by NSF as a compound for the treatment of entire potable water systems (G1) in official establishments in and around food processing
areas. This product is acceptable for use as a silicate water treatment product (G3). The concentration of silicates in the treatment water, when prepared according to manufacturer’s instructions, shall not exceed 10 ppm as silicon dioxide. This product is also acceptable for treatment of cooling and retort water (G5) in and around food processing areas. Also approved for treating boilers, steam lines, and/or cooling systems (G7) where neither the treated water nor the steam produced may contact edible products in and around food processing areas.

COOLCLEAR S is listed as a food safe product under NSF Non-Food Compounds G1, G3, G5, G7.
